Ummm, your atty is wrong. Guess he just wants the money from you, and naturally he does not get that if you stop the divorce. What a creep!
You can stop a divorce up to the point of the court date, when the judge signs the papers. All you have to do is contact the clerk at the court house, tell them you want to withdraw your divorce documents and they should be able to give you the instructions on how to do that.
Good for you !!! Fight for your husband, fight for your marriage. I wish more people would fight for theirs…. Best of luck to you!!

Divorce proceedings are a civil suit. Civil suits can be stopped at any time. Your attorney doesn’t want it to stop because he want get his cut. Go to your county court clerk yourself and tell them what you want to do. It will be stopped.

If your husband already signed the papers then NO you cant stop it… but if he hasnt then by all means, your attorney basically wants to keep draining money from you and yes, you can stop it. Why would you want to tho? Your husband left back in may— are you still seeing him? is he wanting to try again? if not– dont bother stopping it, you wont get him back…
